Final Magazine Ad

This is our final magazine ad logo which has the new logo incorporated into it but if you notice, a few changes were made to it's colour because that was the only way for us to be able to see the logo clearly.

Mockups of Magazine Ad

Here are some mock ups created so that we can decide what final magazine ad should ours look like, stay tuned to see the final one.

Rough Magazine Ad Sketches

Here are two rough sketches for the magazine ad, and this will help us visualize what we would like the ad to look like.

Vectored Logo

This is the final logo that will be used throughout this re-branding project. Later on you will see this logo incorporated in to our magazine ads that will also be posted soon.

Newspaper Ad

For this week the group had to come up with a newspaper Ad for our Converse Re brand.
So the group came up with this as a rough copy:

Created in photoshop with a typeface called Franklin Gothic Medium, the group thought it was the best suiting type for the ad. However, the rough of the add did not look like a newspaper ad as the image was too raw. Also the text was too close together so it needed to be moved.

After fixing those two things the image came to look like this
With changing around the levels of the image, it began to look more like a newspaper Ad. Also we changed the font size from 24 pts to 20 points and space it out more so the type would look more like an AD.

Stay Tuned

Rough Logo Sketches

Here are some rough sketches that one of our group members did and soon enough a vectored version will also be posted online.

The Buisness Plan

 June 6th 2012.
Breakdown of our re-brand project

As we forgot to post before ( our apologies), our group is coming up with a re-brand idea for converse and providing information on a weekly proposal/plan of what we plan to do.

We are doing this in the form of Print.

First off, we came up with an idea of creating a book of designs. The book of designs is based on consumers creating their own designs for the shoe, and being able to express themselves from this design. We want to take some of these designs and put them into a catalog. Its not just a converse all star shoe that you can used custom designs for. We are currently designing other converse shoes that can have a custom design on them.

What will we provide?
Re-vamp the converse shoes to the company. Give the public more freedom with the shoe.

Have a specific colour style, design, etc.
Have a book where you can draw your design inside, mail it in to converse and they put the design onto the show itself.

Promote this idea through advertisements in buses, subways, trains, magazines, newspapers, etc.

software used: Adobe Creative Suite: mainly Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop, Acrobat reader, firefox, windows 7 PC, and / or Apple Mac.

Press Release

Converse introduces new never seen before features and styles.

Toronto, Ontario (June 6, 2012) – Today Converse will release their new plans for the company, where they will slowly release a brand new series that has never been seen before. Converse has been around for quite sometime so a team of 5 will come together to revamp Converse, giving life to the already famous company but will only become more famous with the help of the 5.

The new features and styles will be available to the public at the end of August 2012.

Features that can be expected are full customization of shoes, where consumers will be able to put what they would like on their own Converse, and then sent to the company with a fee so their shoe will be custom made to their preferences. Even though this already exists, a brand new feature that has not been seen before is that consumers can now draw their own graphics, from the brochure they receive so it can be printed onto their shoe.

Brand new styles will also be released at the end of August where new colours will be added to the Converse colour palette, which is already filled with many amazing colours. But that is not all, as Converse will be releasing a new shoe style, it is a sandal type of shoe where consumers will be able to wear it outdoors in hot summer weather.

At the moment, Converse finished the planning phase and now can start building what is planned for the consumer market. Consumers can expect to see brand new designs, styles, features, and colours that have not been done before.
